Karyn Rankin
Studio Owner and Operator, E-RYT 200, YACEP
Karyn has been practicing yoga on and off since 2005, but really started cultivating her own practice with Anchorage Yoga in 2014. She received her Yoga Teacher Training Certificate through IGNITE Wellness Collective in Scottsdale, AZ and has since plunged headfirst into teaching Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa, and Restorative YogaTouch classes at S.O.OM.
Although she is a true Oregonian raised here in the Rogue Valley, Karyn has traveled extensively and lived out of state since 2009 in Paris, Anchorage, and Spokane, and just recently moved back in 2021.
Karyn is a lifelong student and LOVES to learn in all capacities, which is reflected in her eclectic resume. She has been a professional river guide on the Rogue river, a classically trained French pastry chef, a Waldorf early childhood teacher, and is currently also a macros nutrition coach, just to name a few!
She has a passion for creating an inclusive space and for empowering others to develop their own personal yoga practice, all to the backdrop of vibey playlists. She loves diving into the historical and cultural aspects of yoga and sharing the depth of Patanjali’s 8 Limbs of Yoga.
When she’s not at the studio, Karyn loves spending time with her partner and their three daughters, baking, doing anything creative and artistic, and nurturing her extensive collection of houseplants.

ANNAMARIA
AnnaMaria Candelaria has been practicing yoga for well over 15 years and has been teaching for the last 8. They focus on Hatha and yin/touch styles of yoga, and their classes emphasize the importance of safe postures and breath work. AnnaMaria is known to watch very carefully that poses are done with safety and strength. Their continued education focuses on LGBTQ+ and trauma informed care and they take great strides to ensure everyone feels safe. Their classes are known to be both challenging and nurturing, leaving students feeling energized and renewed.

TORI
Tori began consistently practicing yoga in 2020 and continued to persue her 200 hour YTT in 2024. Her original intention was more so a mental practice versus a physical but over the years she has weaved between the two. Tori spends her days working on organic vegetable farms, which can be very physical so she has found that in these seasons, Yin and Restorative classes call to her. In the winter, her slower seasons, she focuses more on Yang practices. Tori is also very interested in yoga philosophy and origin. She intends to continue her yoga trainings and focus on Yoga Nidra in the upcoming year. Yoga has provided Tori with comfort in the now and the power of body mind connection.

CHELSEA PETT
Chelsea (she/her) began her personal yoga journey and dedicated practice in 2013 as a way to find peace in a high-stress job, and has remained a constant companion of it since through pregnancies, motherhood, cross-country moves, and day to day life. Chelsea is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with her training focus in Ashtanga Vinyasa following the primary Hatha sequence. She is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive space for all individuals in any stage of life looking to practice mindful movement and connect mind, body, and breath through the practice of yoga.

JAYME
Jayme is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher at the 200 hour level certified by the Yoga Center of Chico in Northern California.Originally from San Jose, CA she has lived in Southern Oregon since 2018. Jayme has been practicing yoga for a little over 16 years and has been teaching for about 7 of them. She is certified in various different styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, Anasura, & Yin yoga. Jayme deeply encourages always honoring wherever you are in your body & in your practice day to day, greeting each day & each practice with gratitude, kindness, & mass amounts of love & light. All of her classes emphasize on proper alignment to keep your body right, playfulness to keep your heart light, and mindful movements with conscious breath to help guide you back to your best & most authentic self.

TYLER
A scientific background led Tyler along a path where science and spirituality merge. Thus, he was naturally drawn to Kundalini Yoga as it has been described as the science of angles and triangles. Tyler evokes a gong, crystal singing bowls, and other instruments as a sound healing modality. He is dedicated to further understanding and practice of various yogic traditions to serve others on their journey.Tyler has completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Hatha Yoga and Positive Psychology and a 220 hour Level 1 YTT in Kundalini Yoga as taught by the Kundalini Research Institute. Tyler’s yogic path follows that of non-dual Śaiva Tantra (Tantrik Śaivism). He has completed a six month non-dual Śaiva Tantra Immersion program with the Tantrika Institute facilitated by Sanskrit scholar and author, Christopher Hareesh Wallace. In addition, Tyler has completed a 32 hour certification in Classical Yoga Nidra with the California College of Ayurveda.

KAILA
Kaila is a southern Oregon native. She has dabbled in yoga over the years through her early college days and into adulthood. She discovered S.O.OM in 2021 and began a regular practice attending AnnaMaria’s classes. Yoga became a life changing experience for Kaila. Through movement, meditation, and consistent practice, she discovered her own true personal strength and found a large sense of body positivity. It was AnnaMaria who later inspired Kaila to become a 200 HR Yoga Teacher. Kaila completed her 200 HR program with YogaRenew and began teaching with S.O.OM shortly after in 2024. Kaila currently teaches a blend of hatha and restorative classes, bringing together the heat and strength of hatha, and restful stretching of restorative yoga. Kaila hopes to share the life changing experience yoga has brought to her with others on their own journey to self discovery and acceptance.

JENNA
Jenna Marie is a dedicated practitioner of Massage Therapy and initially began her practice of Yoga to better serve her clients. After graduating Sarah Sol’s YTT she found herself on fire with desire teach. As this in depth training was a powerful and life altering experience for her. Since her initial Vinyasa training she has taken various other trainings so she has many tools in her box to pull from. She has practiced yoga and taught yoga through two of her three pregnancies and postpartum, giving her a deeper understanding of how it feels to practice in different phases of life.
Anatomy, kinesiology, and the study of the nervous system are fascinating to her and she finds pure joy in learning the most she can about the human body and sharing it in an attainable and approachable way. She firmly believes that self care is the first line of defense against dis-ease, and that medicinal movement is key.
Her classes focus on a playful dance between alignment for a safe challenge and restorative releases. She loves to utilize her knowledge as a bodyworker to help facilitate release through touch. All she really wants to do is share the power that well thought out meditative movement can have, in maintaining balance throughout our life’s, with as many people as possible!

KAITLYN
“Movement is my medicine” This has been Kaitlyn’s mantra for the past 12 years. She has been fascinated by the human body and its movement since her baby ballerina days. Through all types of dance, yoga, and fitness, she has been able to blend her knowledge and passion for physical and spiritual wellness.
After graduating from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in Kinesiology in 2016, Kaitlyn felt the call to begin her path of teaching yoga and received her 200 Hr Yoga Teacher certification. Yoga has been the core of her self care practices and has allowed her the ability to deepen the relationship she has with herself and Spirit.

JAMIE
Jamie is a phenomenal yoga teacher with nearly two decades of Yoga experience. She has a strong passion for helping students find thier own unique path of healing and self discovery through Yoga. Jamie's all levels Hatha and Vinyasa classes will emphasize alignment principles and breath and are designed to strengthen the body, increase flexibility, improve posture, encourage mindfullness, and develop relaxation.
Jamie is a nuturing soul by nature, her sense of humor adds a touch of whimsy and comfort to each class. Her classes are challenging and rewarding and will leave you feeling refreshed, charged, and inspired.

SUMMER
Summer has been practicing yoga since 1998, teaching since 2007. Her life in travel combined with the health she has recovered through movement, meditation, nature, rest, writing, music, and food as medicine—has been the greatest influence on her teaching. She is also influenced by Ana Forrest, Chiara Guerrieri, Annie Carpenter, Seane Corn, Erich Schiffmann, Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, and so many others. She has received a wide breadth of training, and has the experience and courage to use her own voice. The result is a unique and spontaneous experience steeped in the beauty and tradition of yoga.

CHELSEA ORR
Chelsea (she/her) discovered yoga in 2022 as a tool for self healing and recovery after serving through the pandemic as an intensive care nurse. While cultivating her personal practice, she found peace in a way she felt compelled to share with others. Chelsea received her 200hr Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training through School Yoga Institute in 2023. Through her program, she learned tools to cultivate a sense of safety through embodiment, guiding others through self regulation and awareness. She currently teaches a slow flow “Zenyasa” class which focuses on intentional rest, love for self, and curiosity. Students are encouraged towards self expression as a way to gradually widen their window of tolerance and gain confidence they may carry with them throughout their day. Chelsea seeks for people to show up authentically and celebrates the uniqueness of the individual. She is beginning to explore offering restorative touch as a way to attune to others while encouraging rest and relaxation. She believes that every person is deserving of the opportunity to be cared for and seeks to banish the notion that self care is selfish.

SKY
Sky has been practicing yoga for trauma recovery and mysticism for 11 years on his own path. Sky now teaches his unique transmissions of Radiant Body Yoga, a style of yoga developed by his teacher trainer Kia Miller. RBY is a holistic approach to Yoga with roots in the ancient Kundalini and Tantric traditions. It is a powerful integration of physical and subtle practices meant to deliver us to our excellence! This yoga offering consists of a combination of asana (postures), kriya (dynamic movements), pranayama (yogic breath work), mantra (sound and chanting), and meditation to balance the mind-body and awaken you to your highest potential of health and happiness.

Decades into her own personal growth journey, Dr. Julie brings a holistic lens to each of her classes. She consciously blends her expertise in Network Spinal Chiropractic, social work and martial arts into her breathwork practice. Her greatest passions include guiding students to the most authentic, efficient and grace-filled versions of themselves and then teaching them how to dance with life in this sustained state. She is a mama to 2, wife to an incredible man, and seeker of joy and truth at every turn.

MOLLY
Molly received her 200hr yoga teacher training from Corepower Yoga in Mission Viejo, CA in 2016, where the essence was Baron Baptiste’s Power Yoga. Following power yoga, Molly shortly after fell in love with Buti Yoga and received her teacher training in 2017 in Los Angeles. Molly’s first introduction to yoga was hot yoga in 2013, and it was a catalyst for positive change as she was navigating her journey of recovery.
Molly views yoga practice as a physical meditation, and is passionate about combining “beat to breathe”; weaving in soulful, hand picked music to soothe the soul and invigorate the mind+body connection. Her primary objective is to facilitate a yoga practice that allows students to unlock the limitless potential they each hold within themselves.
